Giuseppe Guarneri, known as 'filius Andreæ' (son of Andrea), was a Cremonese violin maker active in the early 18th century. His instruments bear labels identifying him as 'Joseph Guarnerius filius Andreæ' and indicate manufacture in Cremona under the invocation of Saint Theresa. Documented examples span at least the period 1703–1716 [1][2][3], with surviving instruments exhibiting back lengths in the range of 35.5–35.8 cm, consistent with standard Cremonese proportions of the period.
